Kathryn is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, living for many years in the Netherlands with her family; and speaks Dutch, English and French fluently.
Her design business, Kathryn van Aalst Interiors, was established in December 2006, culminating a lifelong interest and passion about interiors, art and decoration.
She has design experience in advertising, and the decorative and fine arts, with a degree in History of Art, having also studied at Christie’s in London.
Use of natural objects, materials and colours, with keen eye for detail and colour, results in an eclectic and interesting mix of the old with the new.
The ultimate goal is to create beautiful, comfortable and timeless interiors, while understanding and fulfilling client’s needs and wishes.
